As of April 2010 the new CRC initiative will force all organizations with an annual electricity usage greater than 6000MWH (mega watts per hour) to purchase carbon credits, which will cost businesses £12 per tonne of CO2 emitted. Doing nothing is NOT an option and all companies who prove they have already made reductions in energy usage will benefit in the way they are targeted.
